NACLAA Makes Municipal World!

You know you've arrived when you grace the pages of the oldest continuously published monthly municipal magazine in the world. So NACLAA staff were naturally thrilled when Municipal World editor Susan Gardner accepted our article on NACLAA to appear in June's Tech edition.

"To make a concise, easily readable article was quite a challenge," remarked co-author John Sinclair. "We had two pages in which to explain a myriad of meaty topics, ranging from the course development process and online learning to student support and the technology that makes it all possible. It was gratifying to watch the team produce such a polished piece under deadline pressures."

Added Operations Manager Bob Burrows: "It's one more feather in NACLAA's fledgling hat. The fact that we can make it into Municipal World after a mere two semesters of operation speaks to our growing credibility."

Sums up Government Studies Acting Director and co-author Dr. Lorna Stefanick: "The June 03 issue of Municipal World is a timely one, as technology is being used by and having an impact on municipal governments in ways that were unimagined even a few decades ago. The fact that administrators can now take local government administration courses online speaks to just one facet of the way technology is changing the way municipalities do business."
